After twenty years of working in handicraft companies, learning the rudiments of the business from ground up, Cristina decided to set up her own family business. With no funding to start she relied on an advance for her first order, less than one hundred pounds. Within three years she had earned enough to buy sewing machines and the equipment she needed to forge ahead.
Things were not easy but the bumpy road and invaluable experience of the last twenty years; support and help of her husband Gerard, keeps them and the business growing, provides for her family and helps her community. Today, she provides employment for some forty people in her neighbourhood, giving them a chance to earn and learn - skills and crafts that come from Cristina's stalwart experiences and generosity.
