ARTICLE22 is on a mission to transform negative into positive. Each piece of jewelry is a modern heirloom – a piece of history upcycled from Vietnam War shrapnel and scrap by artisans in Laos. Proceeds from the collection clear some of the 80 million unexploded bombs there.
Engraved with the story, dropped + made in Laos, each bangle is also marked with the company namesake, ARTICLE22, inspired by the 22nd Article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states everyone’s right to social, economic, and cultural security and the free development of personality.
Each piece gives back to support traditional Lao artisan livelihoods, village development, community endeavors and further de-mining efforts.
