GLOBAL CRAFTS

Global Crafts is a fair trade wholesale for-profit company that buys from a network of fair trade artists they've connected from all over the world. Their mission is simple: to improve the lives of the people with whom we share this planet. 

They carry out their mission by offering income-generating opportunities to artisans in developing countries by following fair trade practices. These include paying in advance (with at least the market price for items), ensuring that craftspeople receive payment, and ensuring that the craftspeople work in fair working conditions. 

Originally founded in 2002, Global Crafts has purchased $6 million in artisan-made Fair Trade Products and is working with 40 artisan groups in 20 countries.
